In 2021, YouTube launched large-scale PSA campaigns in partnership with the Vaccine Confidence Project, World Health Organization, and local health authorities around the world to support the global COVID-19 vaccination effort .
Our U.S. campaign with the Vaccine Confidence Project reached 61% of 18-34 year olds online in the U.S., and of those in that group who recalled seeing the campaign, there was a 17% increase in the likelihood that they would consider getting one of the COVID-19 vaccines when they became eligible.
Vaccine Confidence Project ChannelOur Brazilian campaign, “Conheça os Fatos” (Get The Facts), was developed in partnership with the World Health Organization to address common questions about COVID-19 vaccines.
World Health Organization ChannelIn India, we curated and promoted multiple videos in several languages to address the dire lack of authoritative vaccine information in local languages. We paired YouTube creators with experts who spoke on a host of topics, from vaccinations, to COVID appropriate behaviors, to managing mental health in the pandemic.
